At the heart of my practice, I believe we experience feelings that can't be adequately expressed through language. Therefore, I use my work to give a physical body to what we find hardest to vocalise, constructing a bridge between thought and emotion. Through this installation, I consider our severings, separations, and suffering. Through my recent writing on the importance of the depiction of severed body parts within gallery spaces, I believe that when we enter a gallery and look upon a severed head, we have found ourselves looking back.
